Twilight Fox

The twilght air was calling,
Its long, dutiful call,
So I took a long walk,
Through the woods by nightfall.

Trudging through the desert dark,
Walking through the aeons of infinity,
Moonlight seeps through the pitch,
Shining upon the magnificent Twilight Fox.

Brushing the shadows,
Her eyes meet mine,
A connection that reaches up,
And bites the back of my soul.

The moment is gone,
Watching my light,
She barks her compassion,
And bounds away.

Satisfied,
I go back home,
Another life wiser,
Because of the Twilight Fox.
