A velvet love,
Soft to the touch.

Don't be afraid,
It's all we need,
Don't run away,
Can't you see?

Looking in the sky,
Looking for hope,
I find you there,
Bright as can be.

A velvet love,
That makes me feel.

Holding hands in dark places,
Nullifying the nervousness,
He is the eagle,
Breathing slowly but deftly,
North wind carries a gentle breeze,
Fire in his soul is alight,
Life lingers on.

For The Sons And Ancestors

This for the sons and ancestors,
Ones coming before and after,
Aged oaks with distant roots,
New flowers waiting to bloom.

Let your heritage say,
Whether in heaven or hell,
Or rotting in a faroff grave,
You are the epitome,
Of the dreams and hopes,
They always had.

Let your children say,
With truth and pride,
You were a terror,
You were a nuisance,
You were devoted,
You were real.

You can only be you,
All I have to say is,
If you're truly happy,
They will always be proud of you.

Full Moon Tide

Full moon tide at night,
The waves crash in roar and rage,
I love a full moon.

Black Tulip

Lovely black tulip,
A treasure in mystery,
One in a million.

The Dove

Swinging to and fro,
The dove soaring through the sky,
It touches my heart.

North Star

Luminescent light,
Shining in my heart and soul,
Guides me to freedom.

Little Kitty

Little kitty in the corner,
Why'd you scratch the chair?
The furniture's ruined,
The room is a mess.
No cookie for you.

Pur Pur,
Meow Meow,
Meow Meow,
Pur Pur,

Ok ok,
Fine fine,
You get two cookies,
Why are you so cute?

Little kitty in the corner,
Why'd you miss the pan?
The bathroom smells,
The room is a mess,
No cookie for you.

Meow meow,
Pur pur,
Meow meow,
Pur pur.

Fine fine,
Ok ok,
You get three cookies,
Why are you so cute?

Little kitty in the corner,
Why'd you bite the vet on the ear?
You didn't get your shots,
He's gonna sue us for millions,
No cookie for you.

Meow meow,
Pur pur,
Meow meow,
Pur pur.

Fine fine,
Ok ok,
You get 4 cookies,
Not because you're cute,
Because I love you,
And the silly antics you do.

Night Life

Mississippi moon,
The river keeps on rolling,
Throughout the ages.

Grace without fail,
The crane moves delicately,
Step by wobbly step.

A promise given,
A gift wrapped through the ages,
Life begins anew.

Stars In The Sky

There once was a little girl,
Who had a little wish,
To feel the stars she knew,
In her heart and in the night.

Up above the world so high,
She jumped and jumped,
And tried and tried,
To catch the stars with all her might.

She went on a journey,
Chasing rainbows,
Catching clouds,
Finding the ladders to her love.

And there they were,
Dancing and playing,
The stars gave her life,
And made her whole again.

From her beautiful reverie,
She woke in a sleepy stupor,
To find pixie dust in her fist,
And love in her heart.

Angel Apocalypse

The angel apocalypse,
What a place,
What a space,
To die for love's gain.

The clashing forces,
Of love and hate,
An epic tale,
Always worth a listen.

Blood raining down,
From demon's quarry,
The battle is not yet won,
Turning frown upside down.

The thunders rage,
With fire and flame,
The volcanoes live again,
To signal the game.

And then He came down,
Ending the quarrel proclaiming,
"My love is real."
"My love is real."

A pearl necklace,
Smooth on the eyes,
Smooth on the soul,
A delight to all.

The mountain,
Through treacherous earth,
And scurrilous tempest,
Always worth the climb.

The pit,
Walking through with eyes closed,
And heart open,
Darkness washes over like a warm blanket.

The rock,
Heat between two lovers,
Is enough to turn,
Stone to stud.

A pearl necklace,
Smooth on the eyes,
Smooth on the soul,
Always worth it in the end.

Jellyfish Soul

Beauty transparent,
Always worth it in the end,
Jolting to the soul.

Love and Trust and Fairy Dust

Light luminescent,
Love and trust and fairy dust,
Shining around me.

A light spins round and round,
Shining its shimmering essence,
To all who may gaze.

Light without darkness,
A symphony without a conductor,
For the world to hear.

A light spins round and round,
Shining with all its might,
Shining on me.

A lotus grows in the mud,
Something beautiful,
out of the abyss,
Is not a mistake to me.
A rose withers,
A rose blooms,
A rose is stepped upon in hate,
We are that trampled rose,
We are not beautiful.

A rose,
Painted red,
Rising from the ashes,
of lover's prose.

A rose once read,
Slowly dying,
Like the flames from a first love,
Now dead.

From death,
Breathes new life,
The unforgotten promise,
Putting His name on the line.

We walk a fine line,
For we are not divine,
We are not special,
We are not new,
We are not worthy of new breathe or life,
...So why must we try to be beautiful?
Why must we try, to be something we are not?

A spider spins a splendid web,
A butterfly lives for only a day,
A bee toils for its queen,
Why oh why oh why?

Because life is cruel,
But also divine,
So haunting and so lovely,
Both at the same time

Life is the sweet nectar,
Of a job well done,
The ambient twirl,
of the cosmic symphony.

A symphony of love,
A beat of remorse,
A melody so joyful,
It makes me believe that life,
Is a simple accapella.

A chorus sings,
A lover cries,
A demon screams,
And an angel sighs.

*This was a duet poem with my friend Cherry. She's pretty awesome. My parts are the parts in bold. It might be continued, I don't know. Enjoy.

A Thousand Suns

Planted in the Earth,
The love of a thousand suns,
Growing forever.

Summer Sunset

The reds and yellows,
Create a beautiful scene,
Along life's journey.

You'll Always Be A Jew

You'll always be a Jew,
No matter where you run,
no matter where you hide,
You'll never lose it,
That bagel blood pride.

A True Love of Mine

The heavens are free for all to see,
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme,
Will you always be true to me,
Then you'll be a true love of mine.

If Hell closes in,
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme,
Will you always be true to me,
Then you will be a true love of mine.

I trust you with all I have,
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme,
Remember me as I once was,
You always were a true love of mine.

Siren's Song

A cry from death's door,
What I hear is different from most,
A sweet lullaby.

The River

Life on the river,
If it rains I would not mind,
Sustaining us all.

Outdoor Observations: Let It Snow

I walk in the dusky twilight,
Past everything worth seeing,
I see her cry,
With a thousand eyes.

Her frozen fears,
Flow from each brow,
Enveloping all,
Touching none.

I am hers,
She is mine,
I'll miss you,
Let it snow.

The Tiger's Eyes

A tiger’s eyes,

In the pale moon light,

A tiger’s eyes,

Shining big and bright.

The Indian Jungle,

Dense and dark,

Life brimming throughout,

The perfect prey.

A flash,

A radiant second,

The penultimate pulsing form pounces,

Fantasy in motion.

All you can see,

Before it ends,

Are the eyes,

The tiger’s eyes.

A Crescent Moon's Dream

A diamond,
In all its splendor,
A sunlight's dream,
A crescent moon's delight.

A climb,
Worth the time,
Searching for me,
Worth the strength,
Searching for you.

I'd rather have a butterfly,
Than a measly moth,
For one day,
I'd have beauty,
For one day,
I'd have life.

Lovely little lamb,
Do not weep,
Lovely little lamb,
Living in the sand,
Lovely little lamb,
Do not be afraid,
Lovely little lamb,
Please take my hand.

A diamond,
In all its shine,
A sunlight's delight,
A crescent moon's dream.
